Let It Be
It was very cold that day. I sat in the car and snapped photographs of moving vehicles that were
speeding north. Red truck, white car, SUV, gravel truck. I concentrated, trying to shoot just before
a vehicle appeared to smash into Freedom Rock on Highway 25. It wasn’t until I got home that
night that I realized how poignant the school bus made the photograph, which became symbolic
of letting children leave the nest, no matter what may lie ahead of them.
